The Parent LRFL (Learn, Rigor, Family, Lead) Team is an integral part of the school culture at Alta Public Schools. As an organization we strongly believe that parents represent one of the key groups in determining not only the success of the individual student, but also of the school as a whole. In fact, parental engagement has become such a dynamic part of APS that last year we started the Parent University and this year we have introduced Lion University – both as a means of providing parents with the opportunity to learn skills and information that can assist them in both their personal and professional lives.

Academia Moderna, Prepa Tec Middle School and Prepa Tec High School each have their own individual Community Liaison. At Academia Moderna, the Parent LRFL Team manages our brand new Parent Center, which is a stand alone building specifically designed to provide a facility where classes for parent education can be taught and for strategic planning that can expect to include information technology.

All parents are encouraged to inquire regarding the Parent LRFL Team that corresponds to the school of their child.

Currently, classes are being offered for citizenship, English as a second language, financial literacy, healthy food choices and for recreational purposes… salsa dancing.
