MEAL PROGRAM
Alta Public Schools complies fully with the AB 1871 mandate. Students at Alta Public Schools receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch meal every day of school, free of charge. Students who participate in the Alta Public School Extended Learning program also receive a nutritious supper and/or snack meal after school. Beginning in the 21-22 school year, Alta Public Schools has instituted a breakfast and salad bar option for all of our students. Our breakfast/salad bar options provide students with more access to quality fruits and vegetables.
For the 2022-2023 school year, parents will not be required to complete a Free and Reduced Lunch federal application. Instead, parents will be asked to complete a simplified form, the Income Verification Form. Regardless of income, all students will receive school meals free of charge. Please contact your child’s school for more information on the Income Verification Form.
